Just tried this tool. Is there a way of getting it to harvest higher page ranking blogs. All the results emailed to me were PR0.

    1. Michael Busch (415 comments)

      Hi Mike

The search return freshest pages first – new posts usually have not gained PR yet. you could check the homepages of the found blogs, maybe they have higher PR. Generally spoken I would not care too much for the PR when commenting on Dofollow blogs.

        Hi Mike,
Thanks very much for the tool – looking forward to giving it a spin. I’m a complete newb and finding backlinking challenging (so much to learn) so hopefully this will help.

Regarding your reply, when you have dofollow blogs, is PR irrelevant? Perhaps you could clarify a little…

        Regards, James.

          Hi James

Personally I do not care about PR much at all, it is important that your link comes from an indexed page and that’s it more or less. You cannot rely on the little gadget green bar that is supposed to tell you the PR of a page. In one interview Matt Cutts once even admitted that google might show arbitrary values there…
Concentrate on content and links and you’ll be fine…

Hi Mike – thanks for your prompt reply.
I have submitted my keywords to your ‘do-follow blog’ tool but have not recieved a reply after 2hrs. I read this process can take upto half an hour so am unsure what to do. I realise im not the only person using this but just thought i’d check. Thanks for any help.

This tool is by far the best one that I have seen. Otherwise I use FF plugin to find dofollow blogs and it was really time consuming.

Thanks Mike, I have posted some on some “Do Follow” blogs but have not noticed the search engines indexing my links. Is this a common issue and is there a way to make sure the “Do Follow” links actually get indexed?

    1. Michael Busch (415 comments)

      Hi Jeff

I am not sure whether I understand you right. A link usually cannot be indexed, a page with a link on it can, and a link can be counted into the ranking algorithm. I suspect what you mean is that the links you created are not shown when you do a link:mysite.com command on google?
This is a common thing as google simple does not show all links they know about. You can watch a good interview with Matt Cutts on that topic over here:
      Google on the Link: Operator
There is a little more data shown within your google webmasters account but this data is not the complete picture, too…

Tried this list a while back and ran into the same issue with the PR0′s. Maybe I have to wait a bit more?

    1. Michael Busch (415 comments)

      Hi George

The problem is that with the new search I had to use after the old API was shut down I get a lot more results that are really fresh – and that often means they do not have PR yet.
If you do the same search once a month you should be able to see a change in PR …

    Hello Michael;

First of all thank you for allowing us to comment on your “DoFollow” blog as well as using your search tool. I operate a small web design service in Miami and I decided to engage in my own SEO tactics. As I learn more and more every day I have come to understand that intuition has a great role in SEO because search engines are on a constant change. Also; Matt Cuzz receives a large number of highly technical questions which in return he respond with a simple answer; write good content and your will generate traffic, when in reality we all know that content along will not do it. So we need to find our own ingredients for the soup we are in.

    1. Michael Busch (415 comments)

Yeah, you are right – there are some areas where everyone consents (e.g. you need to get links) and others where there are a bunch of different opinions – after all SEO is not an exact science…

I’m finding SEO fascinating and overwhelming at the same time. Just when I find a method that I need to focus on, I get distracted by the next up and coming method, not product, I’m talking method here, i.e., article writing, which carries a lot of juice as you all know. I have 20 sites and everyday I get less and less motivated, about 5 or 6 on page 1 and 2 but little traffic. I know I need to get more content, and that is where I know article marketing works. I’m trying to stay away from outsourcing for a while, but I just can’t get it together. I need a swift kick!

    1. Michael Busch (415 comments)

      Hey Lisa

Don’t despair… I guess we all have been at this point. Just find a few good keywords and focus on building links for that – you will soon see the success then. I have two articles about keyword research that might be of interest for you: http://www.seo-traffic-guide.de/category/keyword-research/
