The answer to this one is obviously relevance, what else could it be. Page load speed is just a crazy fancy that many people have. What benefit would page speed have in comparison to relevance. If a site is not relevant you will not visit it and the page load speed then will not matter at all, it will not be a contender at all for discussion in such a scenario.

Difficult to say, but one should aim at getting best results possible for both criteria.
As for me, I am aware of this requirement, and I put 90 to 95 % quality photos on my site, just to speed it up

I will always choose relevance over page speed. Whatever the speed be to load a page, if the page is not useful, people will firstly not visit it and even if they do they will leave it faster than ever. So relevance always score big on my ladder of priority. Relevant matter is always what readers want and are searching for, they do not mind waiting for a long time for the page to load if the matter is relevant to what they are looking out for.

Page rank is something that drives my friends crazy when it comes to their blogs. They tend to be very obsessed with it. I recently started using blogs to propell my business forward. But then my friends tried explaining page rank to me and what it means and this led me to get very obssessed with it as well. Little knowledge is dangerous and this proved to be the case in my regard. We all went crazy and were afraid of the page rank, when actually we really did not really know what all the fuss was about. Thank you for clearing out this doubt.

Actually the system follows a simple path: find as many relates blogs as possible and then check them all for dofollow with a perl script, then send out the results.

This is a confusing aspect of backlink building, but I think you’ve finally been the one to explain why I see some comment sections with do and no at the same time. So some commenters have been personally approved over others. I can’t say as I blame them. You ought to be able to do what you like with your own blog.

I am seeing a lot of people posting on the net about the need to make blogs do-follow again. It seems that the was a huge swing away, understandably so, from do-follow links.

Is there now a pendulum swing going back the other way, or is there just a small and rebellious hold-out group that wants it to and attempts to regularly promote it?

I would like to see do-follow comments but the ability to filter them more easily increased. If someone has something to contribute to the conversation, why not?

There are so many algorithms and codes written, surely they are going to come up with one soon that makes identification of thoughtful comments stand out from gibberish, so the blog owner can be relieved of having to delete hundreds of comments just to get to a handful.

I have been involved in internet marketing for about 2 years now. I still consider myself to be a “newbie”, I have a few sites that bring in some “extra money” but still have a full time job.
My comment is more to do with comments already received.
Because of the amount of information out there and with so many of making money, I would offer this advise to anyone that was just starting.
Find ONE method that you think you could make money from, read everything that you can on that ONE subject and try to become an “expert” on that ONE method.
There is so much information on the internet and everyone wants to sell you the next best thing. Just Pick ONE, and be all you can be, if it doesn’t workout move onto another. If you have success in that ONE, keep doing it and then start a second method.

The question is not whether the site you get a link from has a high PR but rather whether it ranks for your keyword of choice.
Also never underestimate the power of direct traffic – if you get a prominent link from a high traffic site this might not even help your google rankings – nevertheless it will provide lots of traffic. I remeber very well when I got my first link from within a wikipedia article – I had not even placed it myself, it was just from someone who thought that my site (not this one ) was useful. That gave me a 200% traffic boost and as you are probably aware wikipedia links are nofollow – so you know this did not help my rankings at all, nevertheless it was one of the best things that could have happened to me
Back to your question – if you have the chance to get a link from a regarded blog – always go for it.

Of course I could use this for big pitch fest and tell you you should XYZ – and while the question which single tool is the most versatile and will give you the most for your money is very legitimate, I don’t think that this is a good approach for a newbie. I think the closest answer could be SEONukeX – but honestly your approach should be to understand the mechanisms better that are used with software like that. If you don’t it is impossible to know whether what a piece of software does will actually hurt you or help you.
A short example from my time as a bloody beginner: I was looking for ways to get more traffic and I had not even grasped the concept of building links – I found a software that promised to put my “ad” in front of the eyes of millions… I later found out that it was spamming blogs and I was so ashamed that I ran around with a red head for the next two months…
So my recommendation would be, learn what the free tools like google analytics, google webmaster tools, google keywordtool, openlinkgraph, opensiteexplorer and so on can show you – then start building links manually then use systems like 1waylinks. All those steps should be able to provide you with more and more knowledge and more and more income at the same time, so you can proceed to the next (more expensive) tools. Not because you can afford them but because you understand what they do…

umar, I recommend that you use the 3waylinks service anyway. You can really achieve amazing results and this isn’t for a short term either. I have also been affected by the Panda update but in the positive way. My traffic has almost doubled and I have almost exclusively used 3waylinks until then. Best of luck!

I am interested to learn what exactly you mean with optimize for the search result history – as the word history implies that is past and I don’t see how go back and alter past… or is there a missing episode from “back to the future” and Marty McFly actually showed us some more google tricks we don’t know yet…

The easiest way to index pages or pages with your links on is to build a few links from pages that are already in the index. The more popular the site is that you use to build these links from, the faster the new pages will be indexed.
Forum profiles is a suitable way to get links from if that is not your only source for links. Also there is the same dofollow/nofollow issue that we have with blog comments…

That is why I don’t use ready made lists;-) If you use the search here, there will be a new list compiled based on your search term (freshly from the search engines) and then all found results are tested for dofollow or nofollow. (that is why it can take quite some time until you receive a result.

Totally right Michael, finding high PR value blog is not very difficult but the main problem for link builders is no-follow, do-follow.
We can easily find blogs with google but we can’t find if a blog is do-follow or no-follow till we open the page and comment on it or see the previous comment link

You surely can – this merely a suggestion that is easy to implement for beginners – you are free to use any sensible permalinks settings other than the wordpress standard that does not use pretty permalinks at all…

I started as an affiliate, but I quickly understood that it was actually easier to make money as a vendor.

Many people think that affiliate marketing is easier, but it’s not necessarily true. There are a few open questions in your request – what does high PR mean for you? Does it start with 3 or 4 or 5? Also what is a reasonable price for you?
