The most often downloaded SEO plugin for WordPress probably is All-In-One-SEO.
A little less known, but in my eyes superior is Platinum SEO Pack . I decided on Platinum SEO for all my sites quite a while ago and while my information may be outdated today, I nevertheless want to share the reasons for my decision:
Platinum SEO and All in One SEO Pack look very similar at the first glance. That is because the author of Platinum SEO formerly used All in One SEO Pack, too, but then improved it because of missing features.
So why did I choose Platinum SEO over All in One SEO Pack? Personally I’ve chosen to make use of Platinum SEO for the following reasons:
1. There are some on-page optimization settings that are missing in AIOSP
2. It allows to set single pages to “noindex” and thus keeps SEs from indexing a website I don’t want listed.
3. Platinum SEO has a feature called “Automatically do 301 redirects for permalink changes”. Which means that you can change the permalink structure of your site if you want to optimize it and still older links to the old structure will not result in “404 page not found”
4. You can switch off the credit back link and are not pushed too hard to make a donation
If you’re already using All-in-one SEO, Platinum SEO has the ability to migrate all your current settings into it’s own setup, which comes very handy.
So a final thought, the key reason I changed was for the ability to set a single page as “nofollow” to hold google from indexing it. In addition to that they are both comparable, and may actually do equally good jobs at SEO.
If you like AIOSP better don’t worry – it will probably work just as fine for you as Platinum SEO does for me.
I will conclude this article with a good article I recently found on the net, and although it was written for AIOSP it actually works with both plugins:
This AIOSP tweak boosted my rankings

I’ve tried some plugins for WordPress which did enhance the SEO of my website, but after learning some good PHP and HTML skills I went ahead and coded part of the site on my own. It’s better this way and I don’t have to depend on a plugin which can break one day.
What I’ve been most happy with is the WordPress SEO Pack which did it’s job OK. But there are many others to choose from, so if you are a beginner and you don’t want to get your hands dirty with coding.
I also use All in One SEO Pack, but the platinum features you list here sound very appealing. Especially the automatic redirect – I have had some problems in that direction lately. I will probably try it on one site, thank you!
I have first time read about ” Platinum SEO Pack”. I am using All in One SEO on my blog. Can we install both at a time?
Hi Maja
You cannot use both at the same time they are doing more or less the same. but there is a migration assistant in Platinum SEO that helps you switch…
Mike
Thanks for sharing the information on Platinum SEO pack and I am currently using all in one SEO pack and will shift to it.

Platinum SEO pack says that it automatically redirects your account information and all the detail to its own pack. Then why do we need to keep both of the SEO’s together. I think opting for a Platinum SEO pack would be much better than choosing for an all in one SEO pack. Apart from this you also get some additional features with it so I think Platinum Pack would be much better than the others.
Who told you you should keep both? This is counter productive – you should decide on one and stay with that.

Word press sites are good to use. Many of the bloggers and even others opt for word press these days. All in one SEO pack is what I have heard from most of them yet. But I thinking trying out the Platinum pack would be altogether a new experience. Also there would be no issues in using Platinum SEO pack as it transfers all the useful data by itself.
Its really a helpful plug-in in wordrpress, but which do you prefer? CommentLuv Premium or this one?
Hello Rodel
Actually I never found the time to make a profound comparison I consider Commentluv to be a plugin that mainly help others with SEO not so much your own site…
I always heard about SEO, but to be honest I’m not using it so far because I don’t have much knowledge about it. Maybe I will do further reading about this and then I will decide if ever to use or not after. Anyway, thank you for some idea, it can help me aid my knowledge with SEO.

I prefer Yoast SEO plugin! It is updated often and features a lot of great options! I have tried Platinum SEO as well but I can honestly say that I like Yoast better!
